James Bay down is uniquely Canadian, collected from wild geese in the Canadian North by Cree First Nations under special license from the Canadian Government. Collected by hand and supply limited by marginal habits and declining bird numbers, James Bay down is rarer than Eiderdown while sharing similar insulating properties. Exceptionally light, the down clusters cling together for superb insulating power. Down tests at 700 loft, but insulates as if it were a 900+ loft down, which compares well to Eiderdown which typically comes in at around 1100 Loft. St. Genève offers Dual Zone options, one half lighter / one half warmer.
Warm and cosy, James Bay duvets are also finished to exacting standards.The 400 thread count fabric is dust mite and feather proof: tighter weaves prevent feathers from poking through. Finishing details include a piped white cording and attachment points to secure St. Genève duvet covers: an end to hide and seek. CARE & MAINTENANCE
Always use a duvet cover: it will prolong the life of your duvet. Only clean your duvet when necessary. St. Genève does not recommend laundering your duvet at home. Use a dry cleaner with experience cleaning down duvets. Domestic washing machines are too small, and the center agitator can damage the duvet.
Twenty years against any defect in materials and workmanship. The filling is guaranteed to stay in place for the life of the duvet. The warmth of winter weight duvets are guaranteed for ten years. If your winter weight duvet is not warm enough, St Genève will add down at no charge. Read more
